How To Create Jeffree Star’s Look

The Jeffree Star Make-up Tutorial

Jeffree Star’s look has caught everyone’s attention from his pink sphibrows to the multiple colours his eyes have been, this is one look everyone is dying to try out. Below you will find all the instructions you will need to recreate Jeffree Star’s make-up.

The perfect sphibrows

This is for people who have shaved their eyebrows off. However, if you have eyebrows, simply go over them with a pink eyebrow pencil.

•    Apply your foundation and set it with a powder
•    With an angular brush and brow cake draw a line where you want your eyebrows to be placed. You can play with the height of your eyebrow’s arch
•    Go in again and feather out from the top of the brow. The basic rule that should be applied here is that the brow hairs closest to your nose are almost vertical and as you go along the brow they become less vertical
•    Now with a pink gel liner and use a lip brush and apply in the same way as you applied your brow cake

You could simply draw a straight line with the pink gel, it all depends if you want your eyebrows to look natural.

Make-up

Now you have your eyebrows done, let’s start the make-up tutorial.

•    Insert your violet contact lenses. There is a really good guide on our Eyesbright Youtube channel on how to insert contact lenses safely, among other useful videos
•    Line the top of your eyes with black eye liner
•    Using a blue eyeshadow and angled brush cut the crease of your eye lid
•    Fill in your lid using a metallic eyeshadow/cream
•    Extend your eyeliner from the corner forwards
•    Take a black khol and drawn in under the eye and define the corner shape with a liquid eyeliner, whilst smudging the smoulder
•    Go over the top of your smoulder with some black eyeshadow and go all the way around
•    With your blue eyeshadow, apply over the crease that you draw and blend upwards
•    Under the brow bone apply a white eyeshadow and go back in with the blue eyeshadow, blending as you go into the white
•    Now with a black eyeshadow go around the crease of your eyelid lightly all the way around and blend out
•    Extend your crease to your nose with an angled brush and blend it upwards using your blue eyeshadow
•    With a pencil brush blend white eyeshadow with the metallic colour you previously applied to your lid and blend
•    Line your water line (bottom lid) with eye liner
•    Add pink blush to your cheekbones and then highlight with a white blush, blending the colours together
•    Apply your eyelashes

So there you go, all you need to know to create the perfect Jeffree Star look.

Enjoy!

Get a Christmas make-over at home

When thinking of Christmas we imagine cuddling up to a warm open fire, sipping hot chocolate and watching the snow falling onto the ground. However, when it comes to run up to Christmas we have a lot of parties to attend and always want to look our best. So we here at Eyesbright have come up with a beauty checklist to ensure you never forget anything when getting ready for the event:

•    To begin you beauty regime wash you face using a facial wash, then cleanse and tone
•    Put on a face mask. Whilst your face mask is drying why not paint your nails? With a nail art and brush pen in green you can tap into you creative side. As its Christmas why not try your hand at painting some holly on your nails?
•    Now your nails are dry, remove your face mask and wash your face just to make sure it has all come off and moisturise
•    Once your moisturiser has tried, it’s time to do your make-up. Apply your base coat, such as your foundation and cover up (if needed)
•    Add some sparkle and colour to your face with the help of some bronzer and contouring your cheekbones with a blusher
•    Now comes the exciting part, your eyes! Whatever colour way you have chosen to go for on the eye, why not blend in a couple of shades together to add dimension? If you have chosen to use eye liner, it’s best to line your eyes after you’ve applied your eyeshadow
•    One way to really get yourself noticed is to change the colour of your eyes. As you’re all aware, Eyesbright have an amazing range of colour contact lenses for you to choose from. Whether you’re in a festive mood or just want to try out a different colour, you’re sure to find what you’ve been searching for
•    To finish off you look, put on some false eyelashes . This is the simplest way to create those fluttering lashes you see walking up and down the glamorous red carpet. Whether you’re after a fuller look or want longer looking lashes, you’ll find it at Eyesbright
All that’s left for you to do now is put on your outfit and get into the taxi.

Have a merry time!

Colour block your eyes

For colour blocking your eyes, Eyesbright are the expertsThe colour blocking trend is the dominant trend for spring/summer, but the trend doesn’t just go for clothes it also goes for your make up as well. The ideal thing about this make up trend is that it’s a day time look that can translate into the night. There are two ways you can accomplish this colour blocking trend; either mixing two colours or three. If you like the idea of two colours, choose to either colour your lips or use bold eyeshadows, but with the three combination you can concentrate on both your lips and eyes (eyeshadows, colour contact lenses and lipstick).

Mixing two colours

With two colours you can clash the colour of your lipstick with your eyes by either, changing the colour of your eyes with coloured contact lenses or wearing an equally bold eyeshadow on your lids. The colours you could mix are:

Purple and Orange

Purple face paint is great when wanting to add a bold colour to your eyes, why not mix it up with an orange shade lipstick?

Orange/yellow and red

Orange face paint is great for the eyelids whilst teamed with a bold red lipstick. The same can be said with yellow face paint as well. The important thing to remember is that the rest of your make up is natural; bronze tints and natural rose tones can be used as a blusher.

If you don’t want to use eyeshadow or lipstick and want an alternative, try coloured contact lenses by Eyesbright. When it comes to changing the colour of your eyes, go crazy; why not experiment and find out what violet eyes look like or maybe pink? There are many colours available for you to try out including red, orange, yellow, purple and aqua.

Mixing three colours

When you want to mix three colours focus on your lips and eyes. Change the colour of your eyes and use clashing colours when choosing your lipstick and eyeshadow. Here are a few examples of the colour palettes you can use:

If you choose red contact lenses, try orange shade lipstick and pink eyeshadow.

Wearing green contact lenses? Try blue eyeshadow and pink lipstick.

Are orange contact lenses tickling your fancy? Complete the look with yellow eyeshadow and pink lipstick.

Other colours that strangely go together are:

•    Pink, aqua and yellow
•    Yellow, purple and orange
•    Purple, green and orange

Finish off the look

You have the contrasting colours –bold coloured contact lenses and equally bright eyeshadows, but do you feel something is missing? Is it making the impact you wanted? Try some false eyelashes – that will really put the finishing touches to your make up and open you eye area.

There are some amazing false lashes available at Eyesbright, our favourites are La La Lashes – Limited Edition Black Criss Cross and La La Lashes – Dolce. These lashes are sure to give you the results you want, perfect for taking your day time make-up into the night.

There is even a pair of eyelashes that use a variety of colours; these False Eyelashes – Multi Coloured are perfect for those who like to create their own trends. However, to get the most out of these false lashes wearing a pair of natural coloured lenses will be the best option. Go for a contrasting brown colour contact lens when wearing these false eyelashes, it will really show off the colours of the lashes.

Make up tips for Blue eyes

Light eyes need light eyeshadowsWhen you have blue eyes you want to find the right make up tips that help enhance the depth of your eye colour. Eyes are one of the facial features that attract people, so you want make up that keeps the focus on your eyes.

With these make up tips you are sure to show people just how amazing and unique your eye colour is:

If you have dark blue eyes

You can use almost any colour eye shadow when you have a deep blue eye shade, so go crazy with colour and experiment. Keep light eye shadow colours for highlighting to really intensify your eye shade.

Why not try:

Holo Glitter Shaker – Lazer Pink

Holo Glitter Shaker – Pernoid

UV Face& Body Paint – UV Purple

If you have mid dark blue eyes

Again you can almost use any colour eye shadow you want, but make sure it isn’t too dark to ensure it doesn’t over power your eye colour. Use dark eye shadow in the crease areas and to line your eyes.

Why not try:

UV Glitter Shaker – UV Green

UV Glitter Shaker – UV Orange

UV Face & Body Paint – UV Gold

If you have light blue eyes

This is where getting the right colour eye shadow can get a little tricky. Stay away from bold colours as this will not intensify your eye colour, it will only overpower it. Use soft colours that will compliment your eye shade.

Why not try:

 Holo Glitter Shaker – Holograph

UV Face & body Paint – UV White

UV Face& Body Paint – UV Silver

Want blues eyes? Why not have a look at our collection of blue coloured contact lenses? You will find a great range of shades and patterns to experiment with.
