One trend we can’t wait to get wearing is the colour blocking trend, not only in our clothing but also with our makeup. The trend has become such a phenomenon it has been translated into a makeup trend as well.

But why stop there? The only way you can stay one step ahead of the crowd and become a fashion setter yourself, is to try something new and exciting. In a recently article that was passed around the Eyesbright office, one of Grazia’s writers wanted to see how far you would have to take fashion, to get noticed and photographed by a fashion blogger. Being noticed by a fashion blogger is the new and exciting thing, but it is harder than you think. From sky high, extravagant shoes to wearing extraordinary sunglasses, the writer had no luck. It wasn’t until she wore a veil that she got recognised and photographed.

So how can we make our make up so different and wonderful, without being too expensive that we will get noticed by these fashion bloggers?

How about colour blocking your eyes? With a paired of coloured contact lenses, you can take your colour blocking makeup to the next level and people will go mad for it. The biggest rule of this trend is to wear clashing colours, the bigger the colour clash the better. So if you will be sporting some red lipstick this spring, why not opt for a pair of purple contact lenses or maybe orange lenses?

It doesn’t just have to stop with two colours, why not go for three (but not anymore, you might begin to look like a clown!); take one colour for your lipstick, one for your eyeshadow and one for your contact lenses. This is a really good way to get an eye popping look, you will be noticed everywhere you go.
